The story summary
Jasmine and her father Zack moved out of Jorvik City to start over with a clean slate. Jasmine’s mother had died from a Cross Country competition accident (rotational fall).
Jasmine used to ride a lot as a kid but gave up and despised horses ever since her mother died. She blames the horses.
In an attempt to make Jasmine like horses again her father gives her a Thoroughbred called Diablo Vitari, aka Diaz. When they arrive in Golden Hills Valley. Jasmine freaks out in anger and completely ignores Diaz.
After a couple days of ignoring Diaz she found an old box left from her mom that said she had to open it on her 16th birthday. She finds a lot of horse tack and an old photo of her mom and her old horse that died in the accident. Jasmine gets hope after seeing and remembering what an awesome team they were and gives Diaz a chance.
After lot’s of bonding and competitions both Jasmine and Diaz were unstoppable. One day Jasmine gets a weird phone call telling her to stop by New Hillcrest Beach. Turns out her mom had started building a new rescue and boarding stable called Red Hollow. It was supposed to be a family surprise but after she died it was left to jasmine since her mother signed this in the contract.
After moving to new Hillcrest and living there for half a year 2 new Fjord foals arrived, called Minun and Plusle. They both came from Dark Core as rescues. Plusle was sold pretty soon but Jasmine kept Minun to her own. After 1 more year of training Jasmine got into a riding accident with Minun. A car came from behind a corner and threw her onto the windshield and over the car. She didn’t see what happend to Minun until waking up in the hospital with an amputated leg. Zack, her father told her that Minun had to be put down because of severe injuries and that they never found the car and person in it that hit her.
On her 18th birthday Jasmine gets a very useful prosthetic leg that could be used while riding and walking. One night she finds father drinking too much and figures out that they are broke. Her father had given out money to all kinds of expensive things. She finds that he was ready to sell Red Hollow and even Diaz....
Jasmine figures out a way to get more money. She trains and races Diaz for the thoroughbred races from the Baroness. After getting wins and more money the Baroness grows her attention on the two. She gifts Jasmine her Paso Fino stallion but is very vague about it.
One night Diaz finds himself fidgeting. He breaks out and a foreign vehicle starts chasing him. After waking up from the sedation of the dart he notices his mane and tail are painted black and his blaze was covered to hide his appearance. Diaz is abused and raced on the racetrack for half a year till he falls apart. When he gets turned out in the snow tied to ropes around his neck and legs he still fights for his freedom and this time succeeds with great scars. After running four hours upon hours he ends up in Firgrove and collapses down.
In Firgrove he gets assigned a new owner called Kira and he becomes best friends with a tiny pinto mustang called Milo. He stays there for a year totally terrified of the baroness but missing Jasmine.
Meanwhile the Baroness is way too sweet for Jasmine again and says she is "Sorry for her losing Diaz". In return she gives a second horse! a dappled grey pinto Arabian called Bella. This mare was pregnant and the colt was sired by an "unknown" thoroughbred stallion. (Ofcourse The stallion was Diaz from when the Baroness still raced the stallion and hadn't lost him.) The little colt, Spook was born with his skull like markings.
Jasmine hasn’t seen Diaz for one and a half year, but she never stopped looking. In Firgrove where she wanted to visit her grandma, she meets her BEST friend from when she was little. Erik! Only he had grown into a young man. Together they start looking for Kira's runaway horse and Jasmine finally finds her one and only horse! After finding Diaz she has to fight Kira in court for Diaz’s ownership. She wins and makes a new enemy..Kira.
After Diaz get’s home safely Jasmine and Erik start re building their friendship and eventually dating. Meanwhile the Baroness is very very weak. She calls out to a couple of henchmen to fetch Jasmine because she needs to heal.
Jasmine gets shot during a peacefull trailride at the lake by the henchmen, but on the lakebed she brings herself back to life. She wakes up from Diaz's call and regenerates her leg!! While regenerating she sucks out all the life of the lake.
After getting home in shock, her father tells her about her past. Her mother never died from a Cross Country accident. Jasmine sucked the life out of her mother in a car accident and Jasmine didn’t remember. Her father was protecting her from her own powers.
Jasmine wants to know more about her powers and goes to the library with her new friend Linda. They find out that the rune Jasmine wields is the “WENDEHORN’’ and Jasmine shares it with Diaz. That’s why she can’t remember her mothers accident. She wasn’t with Diaz and she also has no memory of after getting hit by the mysterious car that cost her leg. She however does remember the lake accident. The Wendehorn protects itself from harm but can give protection when in full control (Which Jasmine still has to learn). Linda hides the rest and tells her she needs to speak to ‘him’ first, and leaves Jasmine still confused.
We then get a look behind the scenes where Milo and Kira are grown up and training hard for shows to get better. She also appears before Erik in a dressage show with her new horse Nero. She slowly starts blackmailing and seducing Erik.
Meanwhile Erik and Jasmine are far into a relationship but Erik starts acting distant and then disappears. Jasmine goes on with life wondering where the hell Erik went. 7 months go by and we see a shot of Erik wasted, tired and sad at the bar. He had been blackmailed by Kira to make Jasmine think he was cheating with her. If not, Kira would tell Jasmine about his little secret. Turns out that when Kira and Erik dated (long before Jazz and Erik did) they got into a fight in the car and hit a girl around the corner on horseback... it was Jasmine. Erik hit Jasmine in the accident and never told her.
When he decides to finally tell her, Jasmine breaks out in fury. He had been gone for 7 months and then he comes with this?! Jasmine breaks down and tells Erik to please go away. After calming down Jasmine walks outside to see a gift left behind by Erik. It was the Fjord MINUN!! ... ALIVE... She finds a note that tells that Erik has been looking for him for the past 7 months. He fought for him in court against the other abusive owner. After winning he gave him to Jasmine... He had done that for her..
We get to see parts of a worried Kira and a broken down Milo. What is thant pink glowing stuff? and who is Kira talking about when she says: " THEY make me do this. THEY tell me he is going to get stronger.."?
Later that night her father returns.. Minun being alive means that her father lied to her.. again.. he told her in the hospital that Minun was gone. That he had to be put down. She breaks out and almost releases her anger and powers on her father before Diaz stops her with his voice.. he was talking. Diaz, her horse had spoken right in front of her with a voice so deep and loud, it sent shockwaves through the ground. Now Jasmine knew what Linda meant when she said "Speak to him” after leaving Jazz at the library.
Jasmine goes to Valedale and asks the Soulriders for help, taking Diaz with her but completely ignoring him. It was too weird and much for her to handle. Before stopping in Valedale she makes a stop at Firgrove. After talking to Erik they decide to take a break, for as long as Jasmine needs.
The Soulriders ask her to use the rune wand on the 4 runestones. Jasmine almost passes out after trying all night to activate at least one without succes. Alex figures that nothing works because Jasmine is ignoring her other side of the Wendehorn. The Soulriders send Jasmine and Diaz on a quest and they get forced to talk. Turns out they will be the best pals.

Erik falls in for Jasmine at Red Hollow Stables and helps the trainers with all the work. Meanwhile the trainers try and date trap Jazz and Erik into a date.
